A leading tools manufacturing company located in Malaysia is seeking a Supply Chain Planner to drive forecasting excellence and manage inventory processes. The role requires a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Business and 3-5 years of relevant experience. You will collaborate with various departments to gather demand drivers, build sales forecasts, and implement inventory strategies while ensuring optimal stock levels. Candidates must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with a focus on data analysis and forecasting.
You’ll Be DISRUPTIVE Through These Duties and Responsibilities
Forecasting Excellence and Process Improvement
Gather information and collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Finance, and other functions to identify events and drivers of demand.
Build the baseline, promotion and new products sales forecasts and lead the S&OP cycle with Sales, Marketing and Product teams.
Drive initiatives to improve forecast accuracy and reduce forecast bias with details root cause analysis.
Monitor and manage slow moving inventory and obsolescence and report to management team and HQ on time.
Execute daily to daily replenishment plan based on the sales plan.
Efficiently manage the phase-out process for products reaching the end of their lifecycle to minimize costs associated with unsold inventory.
Define the stock targets per SKU at each point of sale to achieve the optimal Inventory.
Work with HQ Operations teams & develop plans for improvement to achieve inventory goals and reduce obsolescence
