Job description

As a Data Scientist, you will leverage your expertise in data science, machine learning, and deep learning to develop and optimize solutions that enhance our organization’s operations. You will work with a variety of cutting‑edge tools to ensure robust, scalable model deployment. Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) is an added advantage. You are expected to stay up to date with the latest AI techniques and frameworks, driving innovation and data‑driven impact across the business.

Data Exploration, Statistical Analysis and Insight Generation

Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify key patterns, trends, and feature relationships that inform model design and business strategy.

Apply statistical modeling and hypothesis testing to quantify and validate relationships between business drivers and outcomes.

Combine domain knowledge with data‑driven evidence to generate insights that are both statistically robust and operationally actionable.

Implement concurrency and parallel computing (multi‑threading, GPU computing) in Python/C++ for high‑performance applications.

Optimize ML applications for memory, CPU, and GPU utilization in edge and/or cloud environments.

Develop robust pipelines for deep learning inference scaling, ensuring efficient model serving.

Partner with product, engineering, and analytics teams to identify high‑impact use cases and design ML‑driven solutions aligned with business objectives.

Collaborate with data and MLOps teams to develop reliable data pipelines and end‑to‑end ML workflows.

Lead rapid prototyping and experimentation initiatives to validate new ideas and accelerate innovation.

Data and Model Lifecycle Management

Build reusable frameworks for model training, evaluation, versioning, deployment, and monitoring.

Ensure reproducibility, scalability, and maintainability through best practices (e.g., Git, Docker, CI/CD).

Continuously track model performance and implement updates to maintain accuracy, fairness, and business relevance.

Business Impact and Communication

Translate complex analytical and ML concepts into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Deliver solutions that drive measurable business impact and support long‑term strategic goals.

Champion data‑driven decision‑making, promoting analytical literacy and evidence‑based culture across the organization.

Role Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field. 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in AI/ML roles, with a focus on computer vision projects.

Experience in applying advanced ML techniques to real‑world problems (e.g., object detection, segmentation, image classification).

Proficiency with Python and/or C++, especially for concurrent or parallel computing (multi‑threading, GPU acceleration).

Experience with deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch) for model training and inference.

Experience optimizing ML applications for memory, CPU, and GPU usage—preferably in edge or HPC environments.

Familiarity with common libraries and toolkits for vision tasks (e.g., OpenCV, NVIDIA frameworks).

Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, or other container/orchestration tools is advantageous.

Familiarity with Large Language Models or natural language processing techniques is a bonus.

Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical ideas to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Proactive, resourceful, and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong problem‑solving skills and a passion for staying updated on AI/ML trends.

Posses own transport and willing to work in office based at Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam.
