Make an impact

Our Enterprise Service IT department develop and deliver IT solutions that are used across multiple platforms and countries. As a Data Engineer, you will be part of our international BI & Analytics competence team. The team has an internal consulting function within the KUKA Group for all KUKA entities and countries. Our focus is the implementation of appropriate reporting/analytical/planning solutions and to support our internal customers with key user training or any kind of reporting/data processing related questions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines/models using Azure Data Factory, Airflow, dbt and Databricks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across all stages of the data lifecycle
• Version control and CI/CD integration using GIT, DevOps
• Support the development of reporting solutions based on transactional and IoT data
• Monitor and optimize data workflows for performance and cost‑efficiency

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Information Technology, Mathematics or Data Science with a highly technical orientation
• At least 5 years specific work experience
• Strong hands‑on experience with Databricks, Azure Data Factory, dbt core, Airflow, GIT, Azure DevOps
• Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts
• Experience working with transactional & IoT data
• Proficiency in SQL and Python, familiarity with cloud‑based data platforms (Azure, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong problem‑solving skills and a collaborative mindset
• Very good written and verbal communication skills in English (German is a plus)
