Your day at NTT DATA

As a DATA Centre Technical Architect at NTT DATA, you will be the cornerstone for designing and implementing top-notch DATA centre infrastructures. You will work hand-in-hand with cross-functional teams to transform business requirements into efficient and reliable DATA centre solutions as part of our pre-sales process.

You will be responsible for the entire architecture, including servers, storage systems, networking equipment, power and cooling systems, and physical security measures. Your role will require evaluating and recommending DATA centre services to align with our business needs, ensuring top security and compliance standards.

Your strategic input will be crucial as you analyse, develop, and recommend long-term plans to ensure our DATA centres meet both current and future requirements. As a trusted technical advisor, you will provide guidance and support to development teams during the implementation of collaborative solutions.

You will design and optimize network architectures using technologies like VMware, Hyper-V, and KVM, ensuring they perform optimally and are highly scalable and secure. From managing client proof-of-concept initiatives to producing comprehensive technical documentation and specifications, your expertise will ensure our solutions achieve client objectives effectively.

You will be influential in guiding members of the Sales team, ensuring they are equipped to close deals and maintain forecasting and sales pipelines. Handling scope of work determination, product pricing, and rFP/rFI responses will also be part of your remit.

• Provide guidance to development teams during implementation of collaborative solutions.
• Design and optimize network architectures using VMware, Hyper-V, and KVM; ensure scalability and security.
• Manage client PoC initiatives; produce comprehensive technical documentation and specifications.
• Guide Sales teams to close deals; manage scope of work, pricing, and RFP/RFI responses.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of DATA centre infrastructure components, networking technologies, and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).
• Understanding of DATA centre security principles, compliance standards, and best practices.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing network architectures (LAN, WAN, and virtual networking).
• Expertise in server and storage technologies (virtualization, blade servers, SAN, NAS, backup and recovery).
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Extensive experience in a professional technical role within a large-scale, preferably multinational, technology services environment.
• Strong client engagement skills and technical consulting aptitude.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or information systems.
