Job description

Were looking for a hands‑on and detail‑oriented Data Centre Operations Manager / Engineer to be the operational backbone of our state‑of‑the‑art facility. This role combines technical depth in IT infrastructure with strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and building systems ensuring uptime, efficiency and sustainability targets are always met.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the data centre to ensure optimal uptime and system reliability
  • Perform regular inspections of facility infrastructure including power, cooling and environmental systems
  • Coordinate planned maintenance, incident response and emergency procedures to minimise downtime
  • Monitor and report on PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness) and implement energy‑saving initiatives
Technical Oversight
  • Manage and monitor IT systems, servers and network infrastructure in coordination with IT teams
  • Ensure compliance with operational standards, safety regulations and data centre best practices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve critical issues related to facility, hardware or environment performance
Coordination & Vendor Management
  • Work closely with M&E, building management and service vendors for preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Review vendor performance and ensure all third‑party services meet SLAs and safety requirements
Sustainability & Efficiency
  • Drive initiatives to improve operational efficiency and support the organisations green and energy goals
  • Track facility energy performance, implement cooling optimisation and manage load balancing strategies
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering, IT or related fields
  • 2-8 years of experience in Data Centre Operations, Facilities Management or Critical Infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of UPS, CRAC/CRAH, chillers, BMS, fire suppression and electrical distribution systems
  • Familiar with IT network, server room operations and environmental monitoring systems
  • Experience managing PUE efficiency and sustainability targets is an advantage
  • Strong problem‑solving, communication and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Willing to be on standby / support 24x7 operations rotation if required
