Job summary
A logistics company based in Johor Bahru is seeking a detail-oriented individual to manage customs clearance. Responsibilities include handling all formalities, advising on documentation and logistics, and liaising with finance for vendor payments. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in freight forwarding and possess strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malay.

Responsibilities
- Handle customs formalities with authorities for clearance.
- Advise clients on HS Codes and duty/tax amounts.
- Coordinate with vendors for delivery logistics.

Proficiency in written and spoken English/Bahasa Malay
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Detail oriented with strong planning, organizational and analytical skills
Education
- To be the person handling all custom formalities with the customs and other authorities with regards to custom clearance.
- To check and advise clients and agents on the proper HS Codes.
- To advise clients on duty/tax amounts.
- To check and advise clients, agents and colleagues on the necessary documentation, permits required for custom clearance.
- Co-ordinate with Local Distribution/ vendors in arranging necessary trailers/trucks for the smooth delivery of the consignment/shipments by Road (when required).
- Immediate follow up of discrepancies.
- Collect & process the supplier invoices & forward to Finance for payments & to ensure the payments are made as per agreed terms.
- Interface between Finance & Customs Clearance Team/Agent for smooth document & transaction flow.
- Assists departmental staff on administrative task related to freight issues.
- E Commerce Declaration E Pam and back up for Courier business cargo system updates/Billing
- All trucking coordination and Brokerage Coordination/ Duty/SST Confirmation/Job opening/Billing.
- Adheres to the Companys Compliance & Corporate Polices & procedures.
- Any other related duties / projects assigned by the direct supervisor from time to time to meet the business exigencies.
