Job summary

A leading education institution in Malaysia is seeking a Course Counsellor to guide students and parents on TVET programmes. You will engage and counsel clients, drive student recruitment to achieve enrolment targets, and execute marketing initiatives such as education fairs and workshops. Ideal candidates should have strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

The role

Guide students and parents on TVET programmes, support enrolment targets, and promote courses through events, school outreach, and marketing activities. Build relationships to grow student intake and brand presence.

What you’ll do

Responsibilities:

  • Engage and counsel students, parents, and walk-in clients about courses and study options.
  • Drive student recruitment to achieve enrolment targets.
  • Support and execute marketing initiatives—education fairs, school visits, roadshows, open days, and workshops.
  • Build relationships with schools, government bodies, and partners to generate leads.
  • Manage leads through databases, calls, and follow-ups to convert interest into enrolments.
  • Assist in planning and running promotional events, including sourcing speakers, materials, or sponsors.
  • Provide administrative support—reports, correspondence, and surveys—related to student recruitment and marketing.

What you’ll bring

  • Diploma/Degree in any field (fresh graduates welcome).
  • At least 1 year of experience in sales, marketing, or business development (advantageous, not essential).
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills—you enjoy engaging people and building trust.
  • Positive, proactive attitude and ability to work independently as well as in a team.
