A leading finance company in Selangor is seeking an experienced professional to support corporate finance activities, including financial planning and capital structuring. The candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include assisting in M&As, financial analysis, and maintaining investor relationships. Strong communication and management skills are necessary. This position offers a dynamic role in a corporate environment.
Job Summary
Support corporate finance activities including financial planning, strategic initiatives, capital structuring, and corporate exercises to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Assist in preparing materials for corporate exercises including mergers & acquisitions (M&As), joint ventures (JVs), rights issues, and other equity financing initiatives as directed by Management.
Support the evaluation and structuring of appropriate capital structures, considering business needs, risk management, taxation, accounting, and legal requirements.
Participate in the preparation of documentation such as information memoranda, business plans, and pitch materials.
Assist in strategic planning, budgeting processes, and business opportunity assessments.
Develop financial models and analyses in collaboration with senior team members.
Support team training and onboarding under the guidance of finance managers.
Assist the finance team in ad hoc projects, cross‑departmental initiatives, and project tenders.
Maintain and develop relationships with investors and other stakeholders to gather financial insights.
Liaise with legal and accounting teams to ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and company policies.
Support period‑end financial closing activities.
Assist in identifying revenue generation opportunities, potential clients, and investors.
Contribute to business cases, proposals, and pitches, and follow up on client and investor leads.
Prepare Board papers and coordinate materials for Board of Directors (BOD) and BOD Committee meetings.
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to meet statutory deadlines and requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Group Chief Financial Officer (GCFO) or Management.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, or a related field (relevant practical experience may be considered).
Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in corporate finance or related fields.
Basic knowledge of Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements, Companies Act 2016, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
Professional accounting qualifications (CPA, ACCA, CMA) are an advantage.
Strong management and supervisory skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
