About the role

As a Corporate Finance Manager at HNG CAPITAL SDN BHD, you will play a crucial role leading corporate finance activities including cash flow management, fund-raising initiatives, and execution of corporate exercises involving financial due diligence and business modelling analysis. This full-time position is based on Penang Island, Penang, and will see you providing high-quality, commercially-focused corporate finance advice and support to the business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in fund-raising activities, including sourcing and liaising with financial institutions and external advisors to meet the Group’s funding requirements.
• Assist in managing treasury and cash flow planning to ensure effective utilization of financial resources.
• Manage banking facilities, including applications, utilization, settlements, and periodic reviews, and ensure compliance with financial covenants and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in corporate exercises such as IPOs, M&A, investments, and foreign exchange hedging.
• Work with cross-functional teams—including business development, legal, bankers, company secretaries, auditors, and tax advisors—to perform financial modelling, due diligence, and support successful execution of corporate initiatives.
• Prepare financial and management reports to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Maintain strong relationships with key financial and business stakeholders.
• Undertake other ad-hoc assignments or projects as required.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance. A professional accountancy qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) will be an added advantage.
• At least 3-4 years of relevant working experience with a public listed company or a similar dynamic operating environment in accounting and corporate finance.
• Investment banking experience and strong networking relationships with fund managers and bankers, along with a fundraising track record, will be an added advantage.
• Relevant managerial-level experience.
• Competent knowledge of Malaysia corporate legislation and relevant legal, financial and regulatory requirements applicable to investment banks.
• Analytical mind, meticulousness, high initiative and commitment to meet reporting deadlines.
• Experience in valuation, financial analysis and financial modelling.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Good command of spoken and written English & Malay. Mandarin will be an added advantage (to support company business expansion into Chinese native countries).
