Job description
CONVEYANCING LAWYER (PJ) / SENIOR CONVEYANCING CLERK (PJ) / PUPILLAGE (PJ/KL)

Our firm’s PJ, KL and JB branches are part of a young and vibrant Malaysian legal firm. We primarily focus on conveyancing matters and are now expanding our scope of work, particularly in loan documentation for various banks.

CONVEYANCING LAWYER (PJ)
  • Possesses an LLB degree.
  • Minimum 2‑5 years of experience in conveyancing practice.
  • Dedicated, responsible, and committed to the role.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken Malay and English.
  • Able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of meeting deadlines effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a positive work attitude.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; must have own transport.
  • Fluency in Mandarin is an advantage when interacting with Mandarin‑speaking clients.
SENIOR CONVEYANCING CLERK (PJ)
  • Handle loan and SPA documentation independently.
  • Manage sub‑sale, project, retail, and commercial conveyancing matters.
  • Liaise with clients, bankers, and government authorities (e.g. LHDN, Stamp Office, Land Office).
  • Ensure timely completion of tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in conveyancing, especially sub‑sale files.
  • Familiar with loan documentation for panel banks (CIMB, PBB, UOB, RHB, OCBC).
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an added advantage.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ability to meet deadlines independently.
PUPILLAGE (PJ/KL)
  • Qualified under the Legal Profession Act to commence pupillage.
  • Assist in drafting sale and purchase agreements, loan documents, and related letters.
  • Conduct land and company searches, and basic due diligence.
  • Handle document filing and tracking deadlines.
  • Liaise with clients, banks, developers, and relevant authorities.
  • Assist with stamping, submission, and registration of documents (e.g. e‑Tanah, LHDN).
  • Attend meetings and document signings with supervising lawyer.
  • Perform legal research and support administrative tasks as needed.
  • Multi‑tasker with a commitment to learning; strong work ethic and positive attitude.
