A leading construction firm in Malaysia is seeking a Contract Executive with expertise in tender preparation and cost analysis. The ideal candidate holds a Professional Certificate or higher in Engineering (Civil) or Quantity Surveying and has over 3 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include site measurement, managing tenders, liaising with stakeholders, and preparing project sub-contracts. Competitive perks include a medical card and insurance policy.
Responsible for site measurement, bills preparation, cost planning, cost analysis project audit, estimating tenders, sourcing of prices and evaluation of sub-contractors' claims.
Responsible for overall matters related to tender bidding i.e. prepare tender evaluation and negotiation, tender analysis, award recommendation and letter of award.
Collection of necessary cost data for conceptual and/or take off estimation and preparation of estimating procedures and overall estimating review and justification.
Liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
In charge of Bills of Quantities, Specifications and Tender Documents.
Search for suitable contractors for appointment to certain projects.
Monitor the contract while the project is being carried out.
Prepare the Interim Valuation in order to assess the total cost of work done at monthly intervals.
Evaluate and prepare the Variation Works to be included in the Main Contract.
Prepare sub-contracts for nominated domestic/sub-contractors and suppliers.
Handle final account to determine the final project cost.
Any other duties that may be assigned by Head of Dept from time to time.
Candidate must possess at least Professional Certificate, Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Civil), Quantity Survey or equivalent.
Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English.
More than 3 to 5 years of experience in related field or equivalent.
Required Skill(s): MS Excel, MS Project.
Preferably with expertise in high‑rise projects.
