Acting as the key liaison between directors, contractors, vendors, and staff, the candidate will ensure projects and operations are delivered efficiently on time, and to high standards.

The Construction Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all on‑site activities for factory construction projects, ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with design, quality, and regulatory standards.

This role involves close supervision of contractors, monitoring project progress, managing site documentation, and supporting cost and schedule control. The Supervisor will be reporting to Construction Manager to ensure timely and successful completion of factory infrastructure — including building structures, utilities, and production‑related installations for the mineral water facility.

Location: Lenggeng, Negeri Sembilan

🎯 Key Duties & Responsibilities

Site Supervision & Coordination

  • Supervise and coordinate all construction activities at the factory site to ensure works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedule.
  • Oversee daily site operations — manpower deployment, equipment usage, material delivery, and subcontractor performance.
  • Conduct daily site inspections to ensure workmanship, material quality, and safety compliance.
  • Identify site issues or potential delays early and propose corrective measures to maintain project timeline.
  • Coordinate installation works related to utilities, piping, machinery foundations, water systems, and other factory infrastructure.

Project Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate daily site reports, progress photos, material usage logs, and attendance records of subcontractors.
  • Prepare and submit daily/weekly progress updates to the Project Manager or Director.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, highlighting discrepancies or technical queries for clarification.
  • Ensure all site correspondence, inspection forms, and documentation are properly filed for project handover.

Contractor, Supplier & Authority Coordination

  • Liaise with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and local authorities to ensure smooth coordination of construction works.
  • Verify delivery and quality of building materials, structural steel, mechanical components, and factory utilities.
  • Supervise subcontractors’ work quality, productivity, and adherence to safety and technical standards.
  • Support testing and commissioning activities of factory systems (water, electrical, mechanical, etc.) when required.

Cost & Schedule Control

  • Monitor site progress against project timeline and raise alerts for any potential delay or variation works.
  • Track material consumption and site expenditures to minimize wastage and cost overrun.
  • Assist Project Manager in verifying site measurements and supporting documentation for claims or variation orders.

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce strict adherence to safety, health, and environmental regulations as per Malaysian laws and factory construction standards.
  • Conduct daily toolbox meetings and ensure all workers wear proper PPE.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free site environment at all times.
  • Report and document any incidents, near misses, or unsafe practices promptly.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of site supervision experience in factory, industrial, or plant construction projects (mineral water factory experience is an added advantage).
  • Strong understanding of civil, structural, and M&E coordination for industrial facilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and basic project management tools (e.g., MS Project).
  • Knowledge of local construction standards, CIDB requirements, and DOSH safety practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills — able to handle multiple subcontractors and site priorities effectively.
  • Strong budgeting and financial oversight skills with proven cost‑control experience.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities; able to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • High level of discretion and integrity in handling confidential matters.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and willing to travel to site locations when required.
