A construction firm is seeking a Project Manager in Kuching, Sarawak to develop and implement project execution plans while leading project teams. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and at least 8-10 years of experience in project management. Responsibilities include overseeing project budgets, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and being the primary contact for clients. This role offers an opportunity to manage diverse projects in a dynamic environment.
Develop and implement project execution plans, covering scope, schedules, cost estimates, and resource allocation.
Collaborate with planners to monitor and ensure projects remain on schedule or ahead of deadlines.
Lead project teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring effective communication with all internal and external stakeholders.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns, and providing regular updates on project progress.
Oversee project budgets and expenditures, implementing strategies for cost savings and ensuring financial accountability.
Ensure timely submission of progress claims and follow up on payment processing with the accounts department.
Identify and assess project risks, implementing strategies to mitigate potential disruptions and ensure continuity.
Establish and enforce quality standards and procedures, conducting inspections and submitting QAQC reports promptly.
Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols on-site, ensuring that all workers follow safety procedures and that a safe work environment is maintained, reducing risks of accidents and injuries.
Maintain a high level of safety throughout the execution of assigned tasks and strictly adhere to the HSE policy.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, reports, correspondence, and site diaries.
Prepare and deliver detailed project status and performance reports to senior management and stakeholders by the 5th of each month.
