Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or related discipline.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; able to read drawings and perform basic quantity take-off and cost estimation.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance and repair procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and maintain HVAC equipment, including air conditioning units, ventilation systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC systems, performing necessary repairs.
• Prepare HVAC system designs and technical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Assist in cost calculation and quotation preparation based on drawings and BQ/BOQ.
• Liaise with China-based teams for design updates and engineering requirements.

Green Cold (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a highly skilled Construction HVAC Technician (Mandarin Speaker) to join our team in Sungai Petani, Kedah. This full‑time position plays a crucial role in the installation and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for our construction projects.

What you’ll be doing

• Install, test, and maintain HVAC equipment, including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and associated controls.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with HVAC systems, and perform necessary repairs and maintenance.
• Prepare HVAC system designs, including air‑conditioning and ducting layouts, and produce related technical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Assist in cost calculation and quotation preparation based on drawings and Bills of Quantities (BQ/BOQ).
• Support the engineering team in improving design efficiency and controlling project costs.
• Liaise and coordinate with China‑based design teams and project personnel to follow up on design updates, technical clarifications, and engineering requirements.

What we’re looking for

• Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or related discipline. Basic understanding of HVAC systems, construction drawings, and engineering principles.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; able to read drawings and perform basic quantity take‑off and cost estimation.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance and repair procedures.
• Able to communicate in Mandarin (spoken and written) to prepare reports and coordinate with China counterparts.
• Problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills to diagnose and resolve HVAC issues.
• Willing to undergo centralized training at the Company’s China headquarters for a minimum of six (6) months.
