In 2024, we had annual net sales of EUR 11.1 billion.

Why this role?

KONE's Asia-Pacific, Middle East, and Africa (APM) area is a growing and diverse region for the company. With close to 10,000 professionals across four country clusters (frontlines) in the Middle East, Türkiye, and Africa; India; Southeast Asia; and Australia and New Zealand, we are a market leader in this area, operating in a mix of highly developed economies as well as emerging markets. KONE Southeast Asia is a vibrant and growing frontline, home to more than 2,000 colleagues across Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

We are now looking for a Communications Senior Specialist, KONE APM & KONE Southeast Asia (KSEA), to help drive our communications and thought leadership with engaging content creation and project coordination across the area.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the center of two closely aligned entities: APM area communications and Southeast Asia (KSEA) frontline communications. We are looking for a rising talent who excels in content creation, enjoys working across multiple projects and thrives in a dynamic environment. The role will report to the Head of Communications, APM, and work in close partnership with the Communications Manager, KSEA. The role will also closely collaborate with the entire APM Communications team and the wider global communication network.

What will you be doing?

This includes written, visual and video content across our platforms, such as intranet, internal and external social media, newsletters and websites aligned with the KONE brand and tone of voice.
  • Support both the area and frontline in developing strategic internal townhall and other key presentations and external thought leadership presentations
  • Support the APM communications team with shared initiatives both in content creation and project coordination across the area
  • Drive internal communications for the KSEA frontline
  • Coordinate translation of communications content with frontline countries
  • Support the KSEA external communications as needed
  • Manage external agencies, as needed, to deliver content within agreed timelines and standards
  • Work in close collaboration with the APM, KSEA and global communications colleagues, as well as with both APM and KSEA Marketing, Strategy and People & Communications teams
Are you the one?
  • An enthusiastic and fearless communications professional with 3-5 years of experience in content creation both for internal and external audiences and platforms
  • A master’s or bachelor’s degree in communications or related area
  • Ability to drill down to the essence in content creation, even on abstract or complex topics, and to tailor the message per the audience and platform in a way that captures the audience’s attention
  • Broad knowledge of social media, digital communications, video editing, brand development and the creative process
  • Organized planner with great project management skills
  • Collaborative team player who enjoys combining operational support with communications and content creation
  • Experience working in matrix, multicultural environments with understanding of the nuances of communicating across cultures and languages
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Be fluent in at least one of the languages in our Southeast Asia frontline
What do we offer?
  • A unique opportunity to shape the voice of KONE in this dynamic and growing area and frontline
  • A strong KONE culture and an engaged team
  • An opportunity to work with dedicated and talented colleagues across the Southeast Asia countries, APM area and globally
