About the job Communications Senior Associate, MY

We are looking for a passionate Communications Senior Associate to join our team and to work with our VP of Communications to help bring all our internal and external communication strategies to life, further positioning the firm as one of the most trusted VCs in the regions we operate.

The ideal candidate is:

• A storyteller. You have a strong understanding of crafting content behind what makes compelling, captivating stories
• A wordsmith. You have strong writing and communications skills, with attention to detail
• A self-starter. You can adapt well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, can multi-task, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality
• An skilled journalist. You have 5 to 8 years of news journalism experience under your belt.

Heres what you can look forward to everyday:

Content Creation

• Together with the VP of Communications, you will brainstorm content ideas in support of the various initiatives of Wavemaker Partners and its portfolio companies
• You will constantly build knowledge on the companys vision, mission, values, and principles, and keep up-to-date with relevant industry developments
• You will write clear and engaging content (for articles, infographics, and videos) for Wavemakers site, socials, newsletters, and events, according to the firms writing style guide
• Using our SEO guidelines, you will help boost Wavemakers traffic and reach its target audiences
• You will help in the tracking and evaluating of our content performance

Communications and Project Management

• You will help the VP of Communications implement Wavemakers communications strategy and execute its narrative initiatives
• You will build and maintain relationships with the media and other external partners in Wavemakers community
• You will help draft and distribute media statements and compile publications
• You will get the chance to collaborate with our portfolio companies in their Comms requirements
• You will help plan and project manage Wavemaker events and initiatives
