We are looking for a commercially minded and resourceful analyst, with strong data science attributes and the ability to thrive in a demanding, team-based research environment. As a Research Analyst, you will support the Head of Malaysia Equity Research, contributing to industry analysis and company‑specific coverage. The role is fast‑paced, rigorous and intellectually stimulating, requiring a balance of accounting, finance, quantitative skills and applied AI/LLM capability. You will be expected to think independently, execute with precision, and collaborate effectively to deliver timely, investable research outputs.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct core research ranging from dissecting earnings releases and regulatory filings to assessing relevant news events.
• Perform financial modeling and detailed valuation work, drafting research notes and sector pieces.
• Apply data analytics, automation and AI/LLM tools to improve quality of analysis, as well as workflows.
• Communicate with internal/external clients and management teams about stocks/sectors.
• Collaborate with sales and trading teams to fulfill client requests for market updates.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
