We are seeking for a highly capable and experienced Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Administrator to join our technical team. In this role, you will be the key driver in provisioning and maintaining our core GCP resources, including GKE clusters, GCE instances, and VPC networks. A strong command of Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) for automation, expert knowledge of IAM for security, and a commitment to operational excellence are essential. We need someone ready to tackle performance monitoring, cost optimization, and robust backup/disaster recovery planning to ensure the stability and scalability of our infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management: Provision, configure, and manage GCP resources, including Virtual Machines (GCE), Kubernetes Clusters (GKE), Cloud Storage, and VPC networks.
• Identity and Access Management (IAM): Implement and manage IAM policies, roles, and service accounts to ensure secure access to cloud resources based on the principle of least privilege.
• Monitoring & Operations: Monitor system performance, health, and availability using Google Cloud's logging. Respond to alerts, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.
• Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools like Terraform (Infrastructure as Code), Cloud Deployment Manager, or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) to streamline operations and deployments.
• Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce security best practices. Work with the security team to conduct regular audits, manage firewall rules, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Cost Management: Monitor GCP spending, analyze usage patterns, and implement cost-saving strategies and optimizations. Provide reports on cloud expenditure to management.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery: Design, implement, and test backup and disaster recovery plans for critical cloud services and data.

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency with core GCP services: Compute Engine (GCE), Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Storage, VPC, and IAM.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools, preferably Terraform.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (e.g., subnets, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker

Experience

3+ years of hands-on experience as a Cloud Administrator or Systems Engineer with a focus on Google Cloud Platform.
