Job summary

A leading construction firm in Malaysia is seeking a civil engineer to supervise and coordinate road construction activities. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, with 2–5 years of experience in civil construction or roadwork projects. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with project requirements, monitoring site progress, and coordinating with various stakeholders. The position requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently on-site.

Monitor site progress, work quality, and safety compliance.

Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers on technical and site matters.

Prepare and review work schedules, progress reports, and site documentation.

Conduct site inspections, measurements, and verification of completed works.

Assist in project planning, costing, and material control.

Identify and resolve technical issues at site.

Ensure compliance with local authority, JKR, and project requirements.

Support project handover, testing, and commissioning activities.

  • Able to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Strong site coordination and problem‑solving skills.
  • Able to work independently under tight deadlines.
  • Willing to work on‑site and travel as required.
Preferred (Added Advantage)
  • Registered with BEM (Board of Engineers Malaysia) or in progress.
  • Experience with JKR/local authority projects.
  • Familiar with quarry materials and aggregate specifications.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or project management software.
