Job summary

A healthcare technology company in Penang seeks a Clinical Manager to oversee patient care within the Rehab Centre. Job description
  • Manage all aspects related to patient care within the Rehab Centre. To serve as a clinical advisor, overseeing clinical trials and maintaining high standards of inpatient care. Exhibit extensive clinical knowledge and demonstrable experience in a similar managerial role.
  • Contributing clinical expertise to patient care and providing guidance to Nurses and Rehab staff.
  • Performing administrative duties and risk management.
  • Ensuring the highest standards in patient care are maintained.
  • Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.
  • Participate and contribute ideas within department towards improvement of the delivery of patient’s care.
  • Compiles and maintains relevant documentation, records and reports for inspection by the appropriate authorities, both internal and external auditors.
  • Prepares written or computerized documentation and reports as required by the profession and the department.
  • Participates in any assigned task forces in regards of patient’s care.
  • Provide and receive complex difficult and sensitive information, which may be in a challenging and emotive atmosphere.
  • Communicate and collaborate with nurse manager, peers, medical staff, patients, families and carers, general public.
  • Listen to patient and carers to promote and practice shared decision making.
  • Collaborate with nursing & Rehab team to promote service improvement and development.
  • Develop effective interpersonal skills in managing conflict and resolution.
  • Adopt a common-sense approach to confidentiality.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in medicine. A master's degree in Rehabilitation Medicine would be advantageous.
  • At least 5+ years' clinical experience.
  • Registered with Malaysian Medical Council
  • Possess current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
