A leading company in finance is looking for a Chief Finance Officer (CFO) in Shah Alam, Malaysia. This role requires developing financial strategies aligned with company goals, overseeing compliance, and managing risks. The ideal candidate should have at least 20 years of experience in finance, including 10 years in a senior leadership role, alongside a Bachelor's degree in a related field. Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
Advise the CEO and Board on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and investment opportunities.
Provide insights and recommendations to enhance financial performance and business growth.
Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
Monitor financial performance and prepare timely management reports for decision-making.
Identify and analyze trends, variances, and risks to support strategic decisions.
Oversee accounting, audit, tax, and financial reporting functions.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, financial regulations, and corporate governance standards.
Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, banks, and regulatory bodies.
Establish and monitor robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Manage risks related to finance, investments, and operations.
Implement policies and procedures to ensure financial integrity and accountability.
Oversee liquidity management, working capital optimization, and funding requirements.
Manage banking relationships and capital structure (debt/equity financing).
Ensure effective cash flow planning and control.
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to support business needs.
Foster a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
Master's degree in business administration (MBA) or a related field is preferred.
Professional certifications like the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a member of Malaysian Institute of Accountant (MIA) would be added advantage.
At least 20 years of progressively responsible experience in finance, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role.
Strong knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, regulatory frameworks, and risk management.
Proven track record in financial strategy, fundraising, M&A, and corporate governance.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and business acumen.
