Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute daily operations for your assigned kitchen section

  • Prepare and serve Japanese dishes, including sushi and sashimi, according to our standards

  • Handle, cut, and store raw fish and sushi ingredients safely and correctly

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety

  • Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team during service

  • Assist with prep planning, stock control, and minimising wastage

  • Support and guide junior kitchen staff when needed

Requirements
  • Prior experience working in a Japanese restaurant

  • Able to prepare sushi (nigiri, maki, sashimi)

  • Good knife skills and understanding of ingredient handling

  • Able to work calmly and efficiently during service hours

  • Strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, and professionalism

  • Passion for food, learning, and continuous improvement
