Business Development Manager – M&E Fire Protection Systems
Based : Northern Region, Central Region (Kuala Lumpur) and Southern Region (Johor)
Helios Engineering is a growing fire protection specialist providing complete solutions for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. We are expanding our M&E Fire Fighting Division and are seeking a dynamic Sales Executive to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and secure new business opportunities in fire protection and M&E engineering sectors.
- Prepare sales proposals, costings, quotations, and tender submissions.
- Conduct site assessments and attend client, consultant, and contractor meetings.
- Understand project specifications, drawings, and technical requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, and key industry stakeholders.
- Work closely with internal design and project teams to ensure accurate project execution.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and BOMBA/M&E regulatory updates.
- Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.
Role Requirements
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or related engineering fields.
- Candidates with 3–5 years’ experience in M&E or fire protection sales background will be given priority.
Technical Knowledge
- Understanding of fire protection systems (sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel, CO2, foam).
- Ability to read and interpret M&E drawings, tender documents, and specifications.
- Familiarity with UBBL, BOMBA requirements, and Malaysian fire standards (an added advantage).
- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proactive, results-oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in dealing with consultants and clients.
- Possess own transport and willing to travel for site visits and meetings.
