Overview
This position is responsible to deliver profit through growth in sales revenue, margins, and volume targets in Malaysia. To cultivate, grow and manage business relationships between Kalsec and selected key accounts in Malaysia. Develop the channel partner capabilities to expand the company’s products and presence in the market. Design and execute short and long-term strategies with appropriate Business Plans and Key Account Plans. This is accomplished by demonstrating leadership worth following to deliver successful business results, working with the Asia and Global team in a manner consistent with the Kalsec’s culture; utilizing highly strategic selling techniques; and the successful prospecting for new business. Success is obtaining new wins that “move the needle” by navigating complex sales conditions with key buying influences. This position will also demonstrate Kalsec’s value through end-application presentations and negotiating new business.
Responsibilities
- EssentialJob Functions: Primary contact for assigned key accounts and channel In essence, the “face” of Kalsec with these accounts.
- Responsible for sales volume and gross margin growth with each customer on Kalsec products by the development and execution of a strategic business plan for the assigned channel partners and key accounts, aligned with Asia initiatives and global / regional campaigns. In collaboration with internal and external cross functional team members lead sales efforts to meet or exceed goals.
- Work with Kalsec Asia and Kalamazoo team; collaborate with channel partners, leading and developing them to create and optimize business opportunities.
- Jointly develop and implement sales and marketing strategies with colleagues to maximize sales revenue and gross profit for Kalsec core products at selected Key Account and Multinational accounts. Create appropriate key account plans.
- Work together with Kalsec Customer Experience team to provide efficient and prompt response to internal and external customer needs providing maximum customer service satisfaction.
- Align with Sales Director Asia and Business Units Leaders to determine and execute consistent pricing policies. To gather and assess competitive information on pricing, product quality, applications and competitive Bring large new business opportunities to the attention of Sales Director – Asia and Business Units leaders.
- To build Kalsec’s brand in savory food industry with the aim of retaining and growing new business.
- To identify needs / gaps in savory food industries and to specify the development and positioning of Kalsec products to meet those needs.
- Create maximum “top of mind” for Kalsec products and solutions with the assigned key accounts.
- To assist with the regulatory affairs compliance of Kalsec business. To monitor and report regulatory developments which may affect the growth of the business
Education/Experience/Skills
- Required
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 8 years of relevant industrial food ingredient selling experience in Malaysia
- Strong key account management experience with demonstrable high cultural intelligence and local market fluency
- Intermediate level of experience in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Team, Zoom
- Experience using com or other CRM experience
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Success in building relationships with professionals at all organizational levels with internal and external customers.
