Job summary

A leading technology company in Malaysia is seeking a skilled Business Development Manager to drive growth in targeted industries. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree and 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing. Responsibilities include pursuing new business opportunities, developing customer relationships, and leading negotiations. Strong technical knowledge of aluminium extrusion, anodizing, and CNC machining is essential. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are a must for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years of Business Development or Sales experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong technical understanding of Aluminium extrusion & anodizing processes.
  • Experience in semiconductor, aerospace, medical, automation, or renewable energy industries.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in targeted industries.
  • Develop strong relationships with new and existing customers to support long-term business growth.
  • Promote full range of capabilities: 1) Aluminium Extrusion & Surface Treatment (Anodizing). 2) Precision machining
  • Understand customer technical requirements and translate them into internal engineering needs.
  • Lead RFQ processes, cost discussions, proposal preparation, and contract negotiation.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and provide sales forecasts and performance reports.
  • Represent the company at customer visits, exhibitions, trade shows, and industry events.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mechanical/Manufacturing, Business, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of Business Development or Sales experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong technical understanding of: 1) Aluminium extrusion & anodizing processes, 2) CNC machining & precision parts.
  • Experience working with industries such as semiconductor, aerospace, medical, automation, or renewable energy is an added advantage.
  • Proven track record in developing new accounts and securing new customers.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and travel when required.
