A marketing service agency is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth and acquire new clients in Kuala Lumpur. We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth, acquire new clients, and expand market presence for our marketing service agency. You will play a key role in identifying opportunities, developing client relationships, and closing deals across digital marketing, branding, creative solutions, and integrated marketing campaigns.
This role requires strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of the marketing ecosystem in Malaysia and the APAC region.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities across digital marketing, social media, creative, branding, and advertising services.
Build and maintain sales pipelines, ensuring consistent deal flow.
Conduct prospecting via LinkedIn, email outreach, networking events, and industry platforms.
Meet with clients to understand their marketing needs, business challenges, and budget.
Develop tailored proposals and pitches aligned with client objectives.
Build long-term trusted relationships with key decision-makers.
Lead proposal creation, pricing strategy, and pitch presentations.
Work closely with internal teams (creative, digital, strategy, media buying, social marketing) to craft compelling client solutions.
Analyse competitors, industry trends, and customer insights to refine BD strategies.
Identify growth opportunities in new sectors (e-commerce, F&B, fintech, beauty, lifestyle brands, etc.).
Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Negotiate contracts, retainers, and project fees.
Provide accurate forecasts to management.
Work with marketing teams to build BD collaterals and case studies.
Support internal product/service development based on market needs.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
3–5+ years’ experience in Business Development / Sales within Marketing, Advertising, Digital Media, or Creative Agency.
Strong understanding of digital marketing services (social media, paid ads, SEO, content, branding, creative).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proven ability to close deals and hit revenue targets.
Strong network within marketing, brand owners, SMEs, or corporate clients is a plus.
Proactive, ambitious, and target-driven personality.
Ability to understand client pain points and convert them into solutions.
Relationship building with media, influencers, and marketing decision-makers.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
