Overview

Huntsman Corporation is now looking for a dynamic individual as a Business Development Manager.

This position will be based in Singapore or Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Responsibilities
  • Environment, Health, Safety: Compliance with company's policy, rules and regulations.
  • Business performance: Accountable to achieve targets on Revenue, Profits, account receivables, DSO, and accurate sales forecast.
  • Industries Scope: Accountable for business in Coatings, Electronics, General Industries and Aerospace; and support new industries development.
  • Geographic Scope: Facilitate smooth business operations in the assigned countries of responsibilities.
  • Business development: Collaborate with customers or channel partners to build C4C pipeline and realise new business via new accounts, new segments, new applications, new products, and expand geographic scope which are part of the division's defined strategic focus.
  • Innovation: Co-drive new product launch and new application development.
  • Strategy: Support, and formulate business plans (where applicable) towards successful execution and implementation of division and corporate strategic measures.
  • Customer Centric: Build, develop and maintain strong customer relationships to achieve mutual benefits for both companies.
  • Channel Management: Set goals and targets for Distributors/Traders; manage distributors’ performance; build a strong distributorship network in the region.
  • Technical Support: Address and own customers and channel managements' technical enquiries; escalate to internal stakeholders when applicable.
  • Reports: Generate and deliver business and project reports, and customer meeting minutes when required.
  • Communication: Engage with key internal colleagues to complete business and operations tasks such as Operations Marketing, finance, intra-region internal business community, supply chain and R&D.
What skills and experiences are we looking for?
  • Minimum Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial, sales & marketing, and/or business management. In the field of polymers for coatings, adhesives, sealants, composites, and/or formulated adhesives.
  • Strong analytical thinking.
  • Strong understanding of business management principles and processes.
  • Knowledge of industry and market trends, competitors and customers in related business.
  • Good understanding of chemicals in targeted segments Coatings, PCBs, Powertrain Electronics, Power, and/or Aerospace.
