Job summary

A global logistics company is seeking a Business Development Executive in Shah Alam, Malaysia. The role involves maintaining relationships with overseas agents, handling inquiries related to imports and exports, and procuring costs. The ideal candidate should have 2-3 years of experience in the freight forwarding industry, be proficient in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia, and possess strong interpersonal skills. Immediate availability is an advantage.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years in the freight forwarding industry.
  • Possess own transport is required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain relationships with overseas agents.
  • Prepare quotations for shipments and follow up until secured.
  • Procure costs from vendors including shipping lines and airlines.

Company Background

We are representing our client aglobal logistics company offering import, export, and total logistics services to fill the role as Business Development Executive


Job Responsibilities


  • Maintain relationship with existing overseas agents & build relationship with new overseas agents

  • Attend to overseas agents enquiries (Seafreight and Airfreight, import and export), prepare quotations, and follow up till shipments are secured

  • Procuring costs from various outsource vendors: shipping lines, airlines, haulier/truckers, warehouse, overseas agents and etc


Job Requirements


  • SPM, Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Business Management or any related field

  • Min 2-3 years in freight forwarding industry

  • Proficient in written & spoken Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Resourcefulness in solving problems

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Able to get along well with others in a team setting

  • Possess own transport

  • Working hours : Mon - Fri (8.30am - 5.30pm)

  • Permanent role

  • Ability to join immediately will be added advantage
