Job description

We are looking for a driven and business-minded Business Development Executive to join our team at RHB Insurance Berhad. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the Branch Manager to grow business profitability, manage portfolios effectively, and strengthen relationships with agencies, business partners, and clients. You will also help develop and implement strategies that drive market expansion, improve productivity, and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.

What you will be doing
  • Support the Branch Manager in formulating and implementing marketing strategies to maximize business potential through the Agency channel
  • Manage Agency, RHB Group, and Direct business portfolios to enhance productivity and profitability
  • Work closely with underwriters in assessing new risks within the acceptance limits provided by Head Office
  • Conduct surveys and risk management programs for Banca Retail clients
  • Identify new market opportunities and develop structured marketing strategies
  • Expand the agency force and strengthen recruitment initiatives
  • Organize relationship enhancement activities to build and sustain agency engagement
  • Segment agency portfolios to optimize business management and performance
  • Review the product portfolio to ensure market relevance and profitability
  • Monitor credit control policies and ensure adherence to company guidelines
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
What we're looking for
  • Relevant professional qualification in insurance and/or a degree in any discipline
  • Working experience in the insurance industry
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of industry trends
