A leading brand management company is seeking an experienced expansion manager in Kuala Lumpur. In this role, you will lead a team focused on site acquisition and expansion strategies while optimizing market coverage for restaurant brands. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience, including 3 years in a senior leadership role, demonstrating strong skills in managing teams and developing strategic partnerships. This position is crucial for driving the company's long-term growth objectives.
Lead the identification, evaluation, and integration of strategic commercial resources, ensuring alignment with the company’s expansion objectives and long-term development strategy.
Establish, lead, and develop a high-performing expansion team, improving professional standards, operational processes, and overall site development capabilities.
Design and execute network planning strategies for core and key growth cities, optimizing market coverage and brand positioning.
Build and maintain systematic development archives and oversee the effective management of development-related assets.
Conduct in-depth analysis of national commercial market trends and commercial real estate dynamics, providing forward-looking insights to support strategic decision-making.
Collect, analyze, and apply market intelligence, data, and industry benchmarks to strengthen evidence-based expansion planning.
Continuously refine and enhance the expansion framework, ensuring alignment between business models and the company’s different growth phases.
Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with leading commercial entities, landlords, and key business stakeholders to support sustainable expansion.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in site acquisition, expansion, or network development, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership or head-of-function role.
Demonstrated success in managing and developing teams of 10 or more professionals, with strong leadership and talent development capabilities.
Proven track record in managing expansion for franchised and/or company-owned restaurant brands, including network planning, strategic alliance development, and the design or optimization of a nationwide expansion system.
Excellent conflict resolution and stakeholder management skills across internal teams, external partners, and market-facing environments. Strong commercial acumen with proven ability to design, implement, and continuously improve development systems.
