About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced Business Analyst that will collaborate with price reporters, collecting requirements, conducting thorough analysis, and managing the successful releases that empower S&P Global Energy to disseminate extensive data and authored content through various delivery channels.

Responsibilities
  • Engage with price reporters to gather and clarify business needs related to methodology changes.
  • Translate business needs into well-defined user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation.
  • Map processes, identify inefficiencies or gaps, and recommend actionable improvements. Manage backlogs, facilitate scrum ceremonies, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Design and refine scalable, efficient workflows that align with business goals.
  • Deliver second-line support, perform root cause analysis, and ensure business continuity through issue resolution.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent, with at least 4 years as a Business Analyst and 1 year in data lineage and analysis.
  • Proficient in Agile, Scrum, and LEAN methodologies, with strong critical thinking and communication skills.
  • Capable of translating complex business requirements into clear and testable acceptance criteria.
  • Experience managing project lifecycles and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Be accountable for price reporters engagement, timely documentation, and follow-through on action items.
  • Proficiency in project management tools like Azure DevOps, Visio, Miro, and SharePoint.
  • Preferred knowledge includes Power BI, Python, Git, SQL, and familiarity with commodities markets.
  • Experience working with global teams.
