A higher education institution in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Branding and Marketing Lead to enhance brand visibility and oversee student recruitment marketing. The successful candidate will develop and execute strategies, manage major events, and ensure consistent branding across platforms. A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree and 7-10 years of relevant experience in marketing are required. The Branding and Marketing Lead is responsible for developing and executing strategies that enhance the brand visibility, reputation and competitive positioning. The role oversees branding, student recruitment marketing, digital campaigns, content creation, media engagement and major events to attract and engage prospective students locally and internationally.
Working closely with internal stakeholders, the Branding and Marketing Lead ensures consistent brand identity, drives enrolment growth and strengthens the university's market presence while managing and mentoring a dynamic marketing team to deliver impactful results.
Develop, implement and manage brand strategies that align with the university's mission, vision and values.
Ensure consistent brand identity across all communication platforms.
Conduct market and competitor analysis to position the university's effectively within the private higher education landscape.
Strengthen brand equity through visual identity, campaigns and digital engagement.
Lead marketing initiatives to support local and international student recruitment campaigns.
Develop effective marketing collaterals (brochures, digital content, videos, presentations).
Collaborate with Admissions, Schools and International Offices to design impactful campaigns for targeted markets.
Monitor and optimise lead generation and conversion campaigns across channels (social media, paid media, partnerships).
Oversee social media strategy, content calendars and community engagement to boost online presence.
Drive content marketing initiatives including thought leadership, blogs, newsletters, and alumni success stories.
Ensure web content are optimised to attract and engage prospective students.
Plan, coordinate and promote major university events (open days, graduations, exhibitions, roadshows, outreach programmes).
Collaborate with faculties and external stakeholders for co-branding opportunities and partnerships.
Ensure event marketing and campaigns strengthen the university's brand visibility and stakeholder engagement.
Build and maintain strong relationships with media, press and industry partners.
Develop PR campaigns and feature stories that enhance the university's reputation.
Masters or Bachelors in Marketing, Communications, Business or any related field.
Minimum 7-10 years in marketing, branding or communications (preferably in higher education industries).
Proven experience in developing and executing successful brand and marketing strategies.
Strong understanding of student recruitment marketing (local & international).
