Overview:

Yee Lee Trading is seeking a strategic, hands‑on, and business‑minded Branch Head to lead our operations in Perak, one of our most critical and high‑potential branches. This leadership role requires full accountability over sales across all channels, branch financials, warehouse & logistics, and office administration. You will function as the CEO of the branch, responsible for performance, people, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Commercial Leadership
  • Drive sales performance across all key channels: General Trade (GT), Modern Trade (MT), Horeca, E‑commerce, and Emerging Markets.
  • Ensure full distribution, outlet penetration, in‑market execution, and brand visibility of both agency and Yee Lee’s house brands.
  • Lead and coach a cross‑functional sales team to achieve and exceed monthly targets.
2. Financial & P&L Accountability
  • Own and manage the branch Profit & Loss (P&L).
  • Ensure strong controls over expenses, collections, credit risk, and stock holding levels.
  • Work closely with Finance to ensure healthy cash flow and full compliance with financial SOPs.
3. Logistics & Operational Management
  • Oversee warehouse, logistics, and last‑mile delivery to ensure reliable and cost‑efficient operations.
  • Proactively manage stock turnover, inventory accuracy, and zero‑tolerance for out‑of‑stock (OOS) issues.
  • Collaborate with HQ teams (Roadnet, Market Planning, Supply Chain) to resolve operational bottlenecks.
4. People & Culture Leadership
  • Lead and develop a high‑performing team across sales, warehouse, logistics, and admin functions.
  • Build a performance‑driven culture grounded in integrity, speed, and accountability.
  • Identify talent gaps and develop succession plans within the branch.
5. Branch Administration & Compliance
  • Ensure the branch operates in full alignment with company policies, audit requirements, and legal standards.
  • Maintain discipline, compliance, and data accuracy across all admin‑related functions.
Expectations of the Role:
  • Act as a business owner, making fast, data‑driven decisions to drive growth and operational excellence.
  • Deliver consistent monthly performance in revenue, margins, cost control, and in‑market execution.
  • Champion speed‑to‑market, 5‑star trade execution, and outlet expansion.
  • Provide HQ with timely market insights, pricing feedback, and local competitor intelligence.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, retailers, principals, and local stakeholders.
  • Ensure 5-star principal engagement, timely reporting, and local sales volume traction.
  • Protect and grow Yee Lee’s reputation as the preferred FMCG distributor in Malaysia.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 8–10 years in FMCG distribution with proven experience managing cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen and leadership capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of multi‑channel sales (GT, MT, HoReCa, etc.).
  • Experience handling branch‑level operations including financials, warehousing, and admin functions.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.
