Job description

Serveco Sdn Bhd, a leading provider of building services solutions, is seeking a talented BMS Cum Mechanical Technician to join our team in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of building management systems (BMS) as well as mechanical systems, playing a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our clients' facilities.

What you’ll be doing

• Install, configure, and program building management systems to control and monitor various building systems, including HVAC, lighting, and security
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on BMS and mechanical equipment to identify and address any issues or malfunctions
• Troubleshoot BMS and mechanical system problems, diagnose the root causes, and implement appropriate corrective actions
• Liaise with clients and provide technical support to ensure their satisfaction with the building’s performance
• Maintain detailed records of all BMS and mechanical system activities, including maintenance logs and repair histories
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in building automation and mechanical systems

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a BMS or Mechanical Technician, ideally in the building services industry
• Diploma in Electronic/ Mechatronic/ Mechanical or related field
• Strong technical knowledge and understanding of building management systems, HVAC systems, and mechanical equipment
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and customer service skills
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in building automation, HVAC, or mechanical engineering would be an advantage
• BMS configuration and operation (Johnson controls, tridium/Niagara)
• Field service setup & troubleshooting(sensor valves, thermostats)
