Job summary

A leading construction consultancy in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a BIM Modeller & Coordinator to develop and manage Building Information Models for efficient project delivery. The successful candidate will have strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit, along with a degree in Engineering or Construction. Responsibilities include coordinating BIM across disciplines, preparing technical drawings, and managing team activities. Ideal candidates will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, along with a minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

Overall Function: BIM Modeller & Coordinator

The BIM Modeller & Coordinator is responsible for developing, managing, and coordinating Building Information Models to support design, construction, and project delivery. The role ensures that digital models are accurate, coordinated across disciplines, and compliant with project standards, enabling efficient collaboration and decision‑making throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Functions & Responsibilities

• Building Revit content (families) for constructability modelling.
• Providing Revit/CAD application support.
• Creating Architectural and/or M&E drawings including 3D Bim Models, Bim Documentation and Workflow.
• Oversee the coordination, data exchange and collaboration of building information modeling (BIM) with project stakeholders.
• Prepare technical drawings coordinate CSD drawings and ensure proper documentation.
• Utilize BIM for the creation of shop drawings and related documentations.
• Produce and review construction shop drawings and as‑built documents.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with construction project stakeholders.
• Develop and enforce BIM standards, process and templates across projects in Malaysia.
• Manage BIM team activities, including model coordination, clash detection and resolving technical issues as a BIM Coordinator.
• Conduct and provide guidance to project teams to ensure optimal use of BIM tools.
• Collaborate with Project managers and engineers to align BIM goals with project objectives.
• Evaluate BIM project Progress, reporting to leadership on performance and improvement opportunities.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, building system and project workflows.

Requirements
