Job Title: BIM Coordinator (C&S)

Location: Johor, Malaysia

Industry: Construction / Main Contractor

Reporting to: Project Manager

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented BIM Coordinator to join our construction team based in Johor. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing and coordinating Building Information Modelling (BIM) processes and deliverables across all project phases, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration between internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate BIM execution on large-scale construction projects in accordance with the project’s BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
• Lead and manage BIM workflows and processes throughout design, construction, and handover stages.
• Liaise between design consultants, MEP contractors, and site teams to ensure clash-free models and effective coordination.
• Review and validate 3D models (Architectural, Structural, MEP) using software such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and others.
• Manage model updates, version control, and clash detection using relevant software.
• Produce construction-level BIM models and generate accurate shop drawings for construction and installation purposes.
• Attend coordination meetings and provide technical input on BIM-related issues.
• Support project team with digital construction methodologies and ensure BIM standards are adhered to.
• Provide training or guidance to project team members on BIM tools and practices when required.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a BIM coordination role, preferably with a main contractor or in a construction environment.
• Proficient in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM360, and other BIM-related tools.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, MEP coordination, and design documentation.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
