Overview
We are seeking a BIM Coordinator / BIM Lead with a strong architectural background to oversee and manage Building Information Modelling (BIM) implementation for architectural projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining BIM standards, coordinating multidisciplinary models, and supporting architectural project teams to ensure consistent, high-quality BIM deliverables throughout all project stages.
Responsibilities
- BIM Management and Standards – Establish, implement, and maintain company BIM standards, templates, libraries, and workflows for architectural projects
- Develop and manage BIM Execution Plans (BEP) in accordance with project and organisational requirements
- Ensure BIM deliverables align with architectural design intent, project specifications, and applicable regulations
- Coordinate architectural BIM models with structural and MEP consultants
- Manage shared coordinates, model setup, worksets, and collaboration processes
- Conduct clash detection, model audits, and quality assurance reviews
- Identify, track, and resolve BIM and architectural coordination issues
- Project and Technical Support – Provide architectural BIM support to project teams throughout design development and construction documentation stages
- Ensure architectural models meet project, authority submission, and quality requirements
- Support project delivery in line with agreed programme and quality objectives
- Leadership and Capability Development – Act as the primary BIM point of contact for architectural teams
- Provide BIM guidance, training, and technical support to architects and architectural staff
- Assist in developing internal BIM workflows and continuous improvement initiatives
- Stakeholder Coordination – Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors on BIM and architectural coordination matters
- Prepare BIM-related reports, coordination summaries, and progress updates
- Remain current with BIM technologies, standards, and industry best practices
Requirements
- Qualifications & Professional Background
- Master’s Degree in Architecture
- LAM Part I accreditation is required
- LAM Part II accreditation is preferred
- Strong architectural training with hands-on experience in architectural design and documentation
- Experience
- Minimum 3–6 years of BIM experience within an architectural consultancy
- Proven experience in architectural BIM coordination
- Prior experience as a BIM Coordinator or BIM Lead will be an advantage
- Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit (Architecture)
- Working knowledge of Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM collaboration platforms (e.g. BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud)
- Understanding of architectural BIM standards, LOD requirements, and coordination processes
- Familiarity with ISO 19650 principles is an added advantage
- Strong coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
