Job Summary
As a bartender is a professional who specializes in preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers. Responsible for the bars, restaurants, clubs, and lounges.
Due to visa limitations, only locals will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Beverage Preparation: Skilled in mixing and serving a variety of drinks, including cocktails, beers, wines, and spirits. They follow recipes and use the appropriate techniques to ensure consistency and quality in every drink they prepare.
- Customer Service: Able to interact directly with customers, taking orders, and providing friendly and efficient service. They listen to customers' preferences, make recommendations, and ensure that beverage choices meet their expectations.
- Bar Operations: Responsible for maintaining the bar area and ensuring it is clean, organized, and well-stocked. They stock liquor, beer, wine, and other bar supplies, such as glassware, garnishes, and mixers. They also monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed.
- Cash Handling: Handle cash transactions, process payments, and provide customers with accurate change. They must accurately record sales, process credit card payments, and maintain the security of cash and other valuables.
- Drink Presentation: Pay attention to detail and take pride in the presentation of their drinks. They garnish and decorate beverages with appropriate garnishes, fruits, and other decorative elements to enhance the visual appeal of the drink.
- Knowledge of Beverages: Possess a comprehensive understanding of different types of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including their ingredients, flavors, and serving techniques. They stay updated on current drink trends and are able to make recommendations based on customer preferences.
- Responsible Service: Promote responsible drinking by adhering to legal drinking age requirements and monitoring customers' alcohol consumption. They are trained to recognize signs of intoxication and take appropriate steps to ensure the safety and well-being of customers.
- Cleanliness and Safety: Bartenders follow strict hygiene and safety standards to ensure a clean and safe bar environment. They regularly clean bar equipment, glassware, and utensils, and maintain cleanliness in the work area. They also comply with health and safety regulations and practices.
- Communication and Collaboration: Able to work closely with other staff members, such as servers, kitchen staff, and management. They communicate effectively to ensure smooth operations and coordinate drink orders and service with the rest of the team.
- Upselling and Promotions: Bartenders often play a role in promoting and upselling menu items and special promotions. They engage with customers, describe featured drinks or specials, and make suggestions to enhance the customer experience.
Requirements
- SPM / STPM or Diploma in F&B Services, Hospitality, Hotel Management.
- 2-3 years Experience as Bartenders at International Outlets.
- Exceptional knowledge on Alcoholic Beverage preparation.
