A leading trading company in Malaysia is seeking a manager to oversee the modern and general trade teams. The role involves achieving sales targets, developing strong relationships with customers, and strategizing for market opportunities. Candidates should have a degree in Business or Marketing, with a minimum of 8 years' experience in FMCG and a proven sales track record. This position requires strong leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills, with a willingness to travel as needed.
Managing modern trade (MT) and general trade (GT) team by providing guidance, support and performance evaluations to ensure achievement of departmental and organizational goals
Responsible to hit modern trade and general trade yearly target
Assisting team in sales target, customers’ inquiries, collection and other sales related issue
Responsible to establish and develop strong relationship with our existing customers to achieve business objectives
Manage allocated budget effectively in order to maximize activity ROI
Identify market opportunities and develop strategies and tactics for business
Manage existing GT and MT accounts for sales expansion and open new accounts within territory. Increase SKU penetration and execute marketing promotion activities/channel activation to achieve set target.
Negotiating business contract and closing deals for existing and new customers
Plan, analyze, monitor and update budget given by the Company
Strategies and plan suitable below the line (BTL) promotion and marketing activities at outlets to maximize sales
To work closely with marketing team for branding and above the line (ATL) activities that align with outlets’ promotion and company direction
Manage and monitor A&P (Advertising and promotion) funding provided by company

Degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
Minimum 8 years’ experience in FMCG / Consumer Goods, with strong exposure to both Modern Trade (MT) and General Trade (GT) channels.
Proven track record in sales growth, trade marketing, and key account management.
Strong leadership capability with proven experience in leading, motivating, and developing sales teams to achieve business goals.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and strategic planning skills.
Strong analytical mindset with ability to manage budgets and measure ROI.
Results-driven, adaptable, and willing to travel when required
