Overview

This role is for our subsidiary, Kenanga Investors Berhad (KIB) and is responsible for assisting the Head in the overall operations of the department to provide application systems and reporting support to end users of KIB and the Wealth Management Department. The role manages day‑to‑day project activities and resources and participates in all IT‑related projects.

We are an established investment bank that offers a variety of financial products and services, including corporate finance, corporate and investment banking, equity broking, equity and debt capital markets, equity derivatives and structured products, private equity, treasury, and the provision of investment research and advisory services.

Responsibilities

1. System Project & Operations Support

• Assist the Head in planning, coordinating, and executing system‑related projects.
• Liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders on project implementation, system issues, and enhancements.
• Ensure users are provided with adequate IT resources and system access to support daily operational tasks.
• Perform system administration duties, including user access, system configuration, and maintenance.

2. System Testing, Deployment & Documentation

• Conduct System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system changes and enhancements.
• Manage system file deployments in accordance with change management procedures.
• Prepare and maintain system documentation, including procedures, configurations, and change records.

3. Disaster Recovery (DR) & Business Continuity

• Assist in conducting Disaster Recovery (DR) simulation tests twice a year.
• Ensure completeness, accuracy, and successful execution of DR testing activities.
• Participate in post‑test reviews and follow‑up actions to address gaps or improvement areas.

4. Reporting & Data Management

• Use SQL to generate daily, monthly, and ad‑hoc reports for internal departments.
• Support mandatory regulatory reporting, business analysis, and management reporting requirements.
• Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of reports requested by auditors and regulators, in line with agreed timelines.
• Support audit activities by providing required system data, reports, and documentation.
• Attend internal and external training programs to enhance technical knowledge, system expertise, and professional development.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5‑year experience in technical operations support and/or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Minimum 5‑year MSSQL knowledge.
