About the role

SIM & ASSOCIATES (AF 002427) is seeking an Audit Assistant/Semi‑Senior to join our team in our Kuala Lumpur office, next to Abdullah Hukum LRT station. This is a full‑time position where you will play a vital role in conducting external audits and reviews to ensure the company's compliance with financial regulations and industry best practices.

What you’ll be doing

• Executing planned audit procedures and documenting findings
• Analysing financial data and identifying areas for improvement
• Preparing detailed audit reports and presenting recommendations to management
• Providing guidance and support to more junior members of the audit team
• Identifying and addressing potential risks and control weaknesses
• Able to learn and handle company taxation using relevant tax software
• Staying up‑to‑date with changes in accounting standards, taxation and regulations

What we’re looking for

• Fresh graduate/1‑3 years of working experience in external audit and possessed the qualification of Degree in Accounting or full/part professional qualifications or equivalents
• Proficient in data analysis and the use of relevant audit software
• Experience in conducting risk assessments and developing audit plans
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
