Job summary

We are part of the PrimePartners Group, a financial services group based in Singapore providing corporate finance, M&A and asset management services. Our corporate finance business has completed over 70 listings, over 270 advisory engagements and sponsors more than 40 companies listed on Catalist of SGX-ST. As part of Oaklins, we collaborate with over 800 professionals across over 40 countries and 15 industry verticals on M&A transactions. We are hiring Associates/Senior Associates based in our Kuala Lumpur office who will play a critical role in transactions execution and supporting the ground operations across all functions of our growing business.

The chosen candidate will mainly assist the ongoing sponsorship team, while also providing secondary support to another corporate finance & M&A functions. The main responsibilities are outlined below.

Continuing Sponsorship
  • Review announcements, shareholder circulars, and press releases for sponsored companies for compliance with SGX listing obligations and corporate governance standards.
  • Communicate and maintain regular contact with sponsored companies to facilitate the flow of information, address any questions or concerns to support the companies in meeting their obligations.
  • Oversee project timelines and ensure deliverables are submitted to clients and regulators promptly in accordance with established deadlines.
  • Engage in close and regular dialogues with and prepare submissions to the regulators and clients to drive resolution of issues in a timely manner.
Corporate Finance and M&A Advisory
  • Support deal origination and execution, including preparing and reviewing pitch books, presentations, financial models, and other transaction documents.
  • Support due diligence processes and documentation for capital market and M&A transactions, and corporate actions such as rights issues, placements, and restructurings.
  • Conduct industry and company research and analysis to support transaction execution.
Operational & Administrative Support
  • Coordinate with Singapore HQ for workflow alignment and reporting.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for meetings, interviews, and client engagements.
What we look for
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CFA) are advantageous.
  • 1–3 years (for Associate) or 3–5 years (for Senior Associate) of relevant experience in client facing corporate finance roles, audit, banking, compliance, or legal advisory.
  • Strong analytical, research and financial modeling skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal proficiency in English and Mandarin, We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients
  • Effective team player with cross-functional collaboration skills, ability to multi-task, meticulous, proactive and able to work independently.
  • Able to communicate effectively with clients, regulators and other professionals such as lawyers, auditors, and valuers.
  • Candidates must be able to consistently demonstrate a clear capacity to process information and maintain logical, structured thinking even in high-pressure situations and fast-paced environment.
