Job summary

A financial services company in Johor is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage full accounting tasks, prepare financial statements, and lead a finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a Diploma or Degree in Accounting with 2-5 years of experience in the Banking or Fintech sectors. Strong Excel skills and proficiency with accounting software are essential. Candidates should be detail-oriented and preferably trilingual in English, Chinese, and Malay. This role requires commuting to Singapore 3-4 days a week during the probation period.

Job description
Job Responsibilities:
  • Handle the complete set of accounting tasks for multiple entities, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements and review monthly management accounts to resolve discrepancies.
  • Design and implement transfer pricing models.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders such as auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, and regulatory authorities.
  • Manage tax and regulatory filings, statutory audits, and compliance procedures.
  • Drive process improvements and lead system implementation initiatives.
  • Build and provide leadership to the finance team as needed.
Job Requirements:
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the Banking, Finance, or Fintech industry.
  • Proven experience in leading a team.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, accounting software, and automation tools utilizing APIs.
  • Familiarity with technologies such as RPA or methodologies like MACRO and VBA to enhance user experience and streamline processes.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, resourceful, and self-motivated, with a willingness to challenge the status quo.
  • Preferably trilingual in English, Chinese, and Malay.
  • Must be willing to commute to Singapore 3-4 days per week during the probation period (transportation allowance provided as needed). Office location: Shenton Way / Telok Ayer / Raffles Place.
