Job summary

A leading insurance company in Asia seeks an experienced Associate IT Business Analyst to join its Kuala Lumpur team. The ideal candidate will identify, document, and analyze business requirements, collaborating with technical teams to ensure alignment with business goals. A tertiary qualification in IT and at least 2 years of experience in life insurance operations are required. Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years working experience in life insurance operations.
  • Experience in business modeling and architecture.
  • Ability to perform System Integration Test and support UAT.

In this exciting role, you will be working with business users and technical designers to ensure proper translation of business needs to IT solution requirements.

Role
  • Responsible for identifying, documenting, and analysing business requirements for business value and implementability
  • Conduct walkthrough of requirements and preparation of documentation for users’ sign‑off
  • Perform business modeling and architecture
  • Re‑engineer business processes and rules where necessary
  • Collaborate with technical designers in ensuring business requirements are addressed in the design
  • Perform System Integration Test and provide support for UAT
  • Train business users where necessary
  • Evaluate analytical and documentation tools
  • Perform Proof of Concept
Person
  • Preferably tertiary qualification in IT
  • Possess professional certification in Insurance (e.g. LOMA)
  • Has minimum 2 years working experience in life insurance operations
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytic and problem solving skills
