Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop marketing and origination ideas together with the coverage bankers, ECM, M&A and Sector teams.
  • Work with coverage teams to develop pitches for marketing, structuring, pricing and securing mandates from the clients.
  • Build and maintain client relationships including C-Suites with the objective of securing business for CIMB Group.
  • Keep abreast of the market landscape, rules and regulations, key industries highlights and corporate finance developments in order to envision and create cross-regional and cross-sector business strategies and capitalise on these opportunities.
  • Project-manage deals to ensure timely delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Accountable for successful execution and completion of mandated deals and delivery of agreed solutions.
  • Responsible for day-to-day activities of team including but not limited to maintaining good relationships with clients, deal execution and liaising with regulators on deal specific issues.
  • Responsible for invoicing at mandated milestones, monitor outstanding invoices and to assist in collections with coverage bankers.
  • Facilitate cross border collaboration for business opportunities and share best practices.
  • Ensure timely preparation and authorisation of relevant documents and correspondences, review applications to regulatory authorities to maintain the quality of submissions befitting CIMB Group’s image as well as reputation and liaise with officials of relevant regulatory authorities as and when the need arises.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and market conventions.
  • Ensure compliance with CIMB Group’s policies & procedures,Department’s policies and procedures,client mandatesandexternal auditors’ requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master's Degree or Professional Qualification in the relevant discipline (Accounting/Finance/Business/Economics or equivalent professional qualification).
  • Possess CF advisory licence.
  • 5 to 7 years in the banking industry (preferably in Corporate Finance / Corporate Banking / Treasury).
