Job summary

A financial services company is looking for an Associate/Assistant Manager in Product Management and Governance in Kuala Lumpur. The ideal candidate will assist in product governance related to the Direct Channel, ensuring compliance with regulations. Responsibilities include managing front-end enhancements, performing user acceptance testing, and supporting product management initiatives. Applicants should hold a degree and have at least 2 years of experience in the insurance or takaful industry.

Associate/ Assistant Manager, Product Management and Governance (GETB)

To assist the team leader and/or immediate superior on overall product governance and management related to Direct Channel, ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines set by relevant authorities.

Key responsibilities:

Implements and deliver front end enhancement in accordance with regulatory requirement for Direct Channel.

Proactively manage issues and necessary maintenance related to Direct Channel.

Performs user acceptance testing (UAT) and regression testing for changes in system to ensure proposal submission process for Direct Channel is error free.

Supports on ad hoc product management initiatives, with a focus on governance related matters such as regulatory updates and audit requirements, ensuring timely delivery.

Ensures full compliance with all relevant regulatory rules & guidelines, product policy, standard of good practice and Shariah.

Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.

Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.

Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.

Must be a formal degree holder or higher. Degree in Actuarial Science or other professional qualification(s) is an added advantage.

Minimum of 2 years working experience in insurance or takaful industry.
