Job summary

A dynamic travel services company is seeking an Accounts Payable professional in Kuala Lumpur. The role involves supporting daily financial operations, maintaining schedules, and collaborating with the finance team. Job description
  • Assist with daily operational tasks, including, but not limited to, reviewing merchant bank information, coordinating merchant information updates, and processing merchant payments.
  • Support bank reconciliation processes and serve as the point of contact for unresolved bank transaction inquiries.
  • Support the preparation of monthly AP reports with detailed analysis of key data and trends.
  • Maintain Accounts Payable (AP) schedules, including, but not limited to, the deposit/prepayment schedule , top merchant schedule and AP aging.
  • Collaborate with internal team to track task progress and support timely completion of processes and reports.
  • Contribute to the improvement of systems, reporting tools, and workflows by suggesting enhancements.
  • Provide general support to the Accounts Payable (AP) team.
  • Assist with ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned by senior members of the Finance team.
What you’ll need:
  • Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business, a student member/member of professional accounting bodies is a plus;
  • At least 2 years of working experience;
  • Mature, self-motivated, strong sense of responsibility, independent, detail-oriented and well organised;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Word, PowerPoint and Google Sheet;
