A leading company in the wood industry in Sungai Petani, Malaysia is seeking a skilled General Manager Assistant. This position involves coordinating daily operations, managing the General Manager's schedule, and ensuring effective communication across departments. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, exceptional communication skills, and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Job description
Responsibilities
  • Serve as a key communication bridge, assisting the General Manager in coordinating daily operations and ensuring seamless information flow across departments.
  • Manage the General Manager's schedule, including arranging meetings, appointments, and travel itineraries.
  • Prepare and draft meeting agendas, minutes, reports, presentations, and official correspondence in English and Malay.
  • Accompany the General Manager to important meetings, document action items, and track follow-up progress.
  • Represent the General Manager in liaising with internal departments and external clients/partners, ensuring clear and professional communication.
  • Assist in tracking progress of key projects and strategic initiatives assigned by the General Manager.
  • Handle confidential documents and information with utmost discretion.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Communications, or related field.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be fluent in spoken and written English and Malay.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a General Manager Assistant, Senior Administrative Assistant, or similar role requiring extensive coordination.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Candidates with fluency in Mandarin will be highly preferred to facilitate effective communication with headquarters and Chinese stakeholders.
