Job summary

A leading wood company in Kuala Kedah is seeking a General Manager Assistant to support the General Manager in daily operations and coordination. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related fields, have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role, and be fluent in both English and Malay. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing schedules and critical projects.

Responsibilities
  1. Serve as a key communication bridge, assisting the General Manager in coordinating daily operations and ensuring seamless information flow across departments.
  2. Manage the General Manager's schedule, including arranging meetings, appointments, and travel itineraries.
  3. Prepare and draft meeting agendas, minutes, reports, presentations, and official correspondence in English and Malay.
  4. Accompany the General Manager to important meetings, document action items, and track follow-up progress.
  5. Represent the General Manager in liaising with internal departments and external clients/partners, ensuring clear and professional communication.
  6. Assist in tracking progress of key projects and strategic initiatives assigned by the General Manager.
  7. Handle confidential documents and information with utmost discretion.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Communications, or related field.
  2. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Must be fluent in spoken and written English and Malay.
  4. Minimum 3 years of experience as a General Manager Assistant, Senior Administrative Assistant, or similar role requiring extensive coordination.
  5. Strong organizational, planning, and problem‑solving abilities.
  6. Proficiency in MS Office software.
  7. Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Candidates with fluency in Mandarin will be highly preferred to facilitate effective communication with headquarters and Chinese stakeholders.
