As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in driving store performance, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and supporting the Store Manager in daily operations. You will lead by example on the shop floor, motivate the team, and ensure the store consistently meets sales targets and brand standards.
Deliver and maintain a high standard of customer service across the store
Ensure customer needs, complaints, and queries are resolved promptly and professionally
Train and coach staff on product knowledge, selling skills, and service excellence
Support mystery shopping feedback and implement improvement action plans
Drive store revenue and actively seek opportunities to exceed sales targets
Monitor sales performance against budget, last year, and previous periods
Control expenses through efficient store operations
Analyze sales and profit reports to improve underperforming areas
Oversee stock management, inventory control, and stock movement
Ensure POS accuracy, cash handling, refunds, and returns are properly managed
Maintain high visual merchandising standards and store presentation
Ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, and security standards
Support promotional events, seasonal peaks, forecasting, and staff rostering
Support staff training, coaching, and performance feedback
Assist in onboarding new staff and support team development
Monitor staff welfare and promote a positive working environment
Support succession planning and effective resource allocation
Minimum SPM certificate
At least 4 years of working experience in retail or related fields
Proficient in spoken and written English
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word & Excel)
Strong leadership mindset with a customer-first attitude
Able to work in a fast-paced retail environment and lead by example
